BECOMING A FOSTER PARENT
The Answer and The CALL serve as partner organizations, each holding specific pieces of the foster care journey. Foster families who open their home through The Answer can expect to experience the wrap around support of both organizations throughout their journey.

Recruitment and Awareness
The CALL builds relationships with local churches to raise up Christian families who feel called to step into the mission of foster care. A family interested in pursuing foster care can reach out to The CALL in their area to initiate the process.

Pre-Certification Paperwork
The dedicated staff at The CALL walk with the family hand-in-hand to help them complete the paperwork necessary to ensure they meet all state requirements to open their home for foster care.

Training
The CALL conducts trauma -informed, hope-centered training to equip families to care for children who have experienced trauma. This training is conducted in person over the course of one single weekend.

Licensing
The dedicated staff at The CALL walk with the family hand-in-hand to help them complete the paperwork necessary to ensure they meet all state requirements to open their home for foster care.

Placement
The Answer staff place children and youth in the appropriate open foster homes. The children remain in the custody of the Division of Children and Family Services, and will continue to have a DCFS caseworker who is responsible for their well-being and safety. The local staff of The Answer will be making regular visits to open foster homes to ensure licensing standards are being maintained and to offer additional support to the foster family.

Wrap-Around Support
The CALL equips the local church to wrap around foster families to meet their unique needs. Through The CALL Malls, support groups, fellowship opportunities, continuing education, prayer, encouragement, and more, The CALL is here to make sure families serving in foster care are supported well throughout their entire journey.
